Day 1 Cusco – Carrizales – Santa Maria – Quillabamba
The tour start from your collect from your hotel at 7 am where our private transport will go for around two hours until to Ollantaytambo located in the Sacred Valley where we will stop for some exactly time for breakfast and you can buy the extra and last supplies for the tour then continue for one and half hour by bus passing and seeing small Andean communities, valleys, lakes, snow peaks we arrive to Abra Malaga (14,500 ft 4,350 meters above sea level, highest point of the trip). From this point you can have a nice view of the Valley of Quillabamba and surroundings, and the rain forest from this point you can see the valley after this we arrive to San Luis which will be the beginning of the Mountain biking.
Before thar we start the biking, the guide will give some safety information about the route then you will descending in to the eyebrow jungle the scenery will changes while cycling downhill, from the Andean cold área to the warm rain forest weather crossing small rivers, some easy up and down hills with spectacular views of the Amazonian rain forest.the road will combinig with samll áreas of off road and asfalt road arriving to Santa Maria small village in the jungle in the middle of the biking we will provide you a box lunch. After you arrival you will have a rest and you can take the option for rafting, we will recomend to everyone, the weather is warm, and the rapids are safe and great fun.between the months of March to December.
The river rafting in this área will be one of the best adventure because the river has nice and safe waves, holes and calm section in between. Before doing therafting, the guide will talk a safety briefing about the commands and instructions as well the safety kayak, then you will practicing in the flag área of the river and then you will start the river rafting for almost one hour and half the level of the river are between II, III and IV Remember if the river will be with big rapids and high the guides will check if you can run the rápid or if you need to walk for your safety as well you ca swim in the river, taking pictures or just rest to recover for the next rapids finishing around 4 to 5 pm and then drive way back to Santa Maria for 10 minutes to meet with the rest of the group at the basic hostal with share romos and bathrooms with cold shower, remember the área will be much warm tan Cusco.
