Itinerary

DAY 1 ARRIVAL TO CUSCO AND CITY TOUR

Arrival to Cusco and transfer to your hotel or hostal in Cusco and in the afternoon we will organize the city tour one of the most important tours around the city.

In this tour we are going to visit the most important archeological sites and the two main museums in Cusco. We will pick you up between 13:30 from your and we will visit the Koricancha the temple of the sun then we go to the Cathedral to visit the most important paintings, finally we will go outside of Cusco to visitng the most important archeological sites of Cusco as Sacsayhuaman, qenqo, pucapucara and tambomachay, after this we will return to Cusco around 18:30.

DAY 2 SACRED VALLEY TO MACHU PICCHU

This full day tour takes you to all the most famous and popular parts of the Sacred Valley starting off in the famous town of Pisac. This is a fully guided tour with an english speaking guide who will explain to you all about the different towns and ruins in the Sacred Valley. You will be picked up at the reception between 8.00 am and 8.15 am

PISAC MARKET:

Pisac is famous for its Andean market where you can buy all kind of souvenirs for good prices is totally recommended to try the “empanadas” (salty pastries) with cheese with basil bites on it or the chicken option! Also don’t miss the artesanal factories where the artists work the silver.

PISAC RUINS:

After a trip to the market we’ll visit the impressive ruins that formed an ancient citadel and an important agricultural center. Of special note is the ‘Intihuatana,’ or Inca sundial as well we will visit the lower part of the complex where the agricultural area and the largest pre-Hispanic cemetery in the Americas.

OLLANTAYTAMBO:

This is almost the last ancient town still in our society. It is surrounded by different “Apus” (gods) who protect the awe-inspiring complexes of Inca terraces that were used for religious and agricultural purposes . Don’t miss the Temple of the Sun and the Ñusta’s bath. Manco Inca used this complex as a fortress during the Spanish conquest, once when we finish the visiting we will take train in the evening could be at 19:00 or 21:00 to Aguas calientes, at your arrival one of our colleague will pick you up from the train station and will transfer to the hostal and then you will have briefing with our guide who will explain about the tour to in Machu picchu.

Day 3: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

To visit Machu picchu there are two options for the climbing to Machu picchu you can go by bus 30 minutes (Extra payment US$12.00 each way) or you can walk for one and half hour, at your arrival to the main entrance you will meet with the guide and with the rest of the group and you will start the guided tour to the wonderful Inca Sanctuary also known as “The lost City of the Incas” one of the best known examples of surviving Inca arquitecture. In this empire you can see the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred sundial (the most important preserved Intihuatana) the royal quarters and more, this will take almost two hours. After the visit you will have some spare time to take photos and enjoy the ruins at your leisure before taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Once when you will be back to Aguas calientes you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo that leaves at 18:20pm (depending of the disponibilities we will choose your train time) arriving to Ollantaytambo by 20:20pm There will be a transport waiting for you in Ollantaytambo with your name on a list to bring you back to Cusco, dropping you up at Regocijo square.

IMPORNTANT: We recommend you to book the tour as soon as you can. Because we can book the train on the way back to Cusco at 18:20 and most of the travellers book this trains and it sometimes can sold out pretty fast.

NOTE: In case if you would like to take early train schedules, luxury trains service or direct train from and returning to Cusco we can book those for you and give the upgrade for this tour.

We included the  train at 18:20 arrival time to Cusco 22:30 but if you want to take diferent type of train as a Vistadome or early train ask for this, extra payment, see the details below or the direct train to Cusco:

Day 4: MORAY AND SALT MINES

We will collect from your hotel at 08:30am, once when finish the pick up we will drive for almost one and half hour to Moray where the guide will explain about this laboratory inca then we will continue our journey to the Salt mines where you are going to see more than 5 thousand pools as well you will how the people they producing the salt then we will be back to Cusco at 14:30 approximately.

Day 5: FLIGHT TO LIMA

Depending of your flight itinerary we will coordinate your transfer to the airport.
