Machu Picchu full day by train
Our transport will pick you up from your hotel between 3:30 to 04:00 and then transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station this it will take 1 hour and 40 minutes at your arrival you will take the train at 6:10am and it will take approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. You will arrive to Aguas Calientes around 07:40 and our guide will meet you at the train station (they’ll check your name). You will walk 10 minutes to get the bus station and the bus will take 30 minutes ride up to the inca citadel. We will visit this awe-inspiring Inca Sanctuary, which is called as “The Lost City of the Incas” and one of the best examples of surviving Inca architecture. You will see the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred sundial (considered the most important example of a preserved Intihuatana), the royal quarters, and much more.
Your guided tour starts at approximately 08:30 to 09:00 and this guided tour will take almost 2 hours. After the this you will have spare time to take photos and enjoy the ruins at your leisure before taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Once when you return to Aguas Calientes you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo at 18:20 or 21:50 (we will choose your train ride back depending on the options available). You will arrive to Ollantaytambo and our transport will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it so you can return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at Regocijo square.
IMPORNTANT: We recommend you to book the tour in advance because we can book the return train to Cusco at 18:20 instead than 21:50, most of the travellers book the train at 18:20 because you can arrive to Cusco at 22:00 but if we buy the last train at 21:50 you will arrive to Cusco at 01:30. Remember this train can sold out very fast because is cheap.
