There are not many things in the world that overcome the pleasure of relaxing in hot springs.

From ancient times the ancient civilizations used the bathroom as a therapeutic measure or as an instance to socialize. The oldest findings of constructions dedicated to this end date from before 2000 BC in India. There is also mention of them in different Greek texts, such as Homer's Iliad. In Ancient Rome, and Greece the bath was considered a ritual. The first records of the use of hot water in the "hot springs" are from the end of the 5th century BC The bath was seen as a social event, this led to the appearance of different types of "hot springs" and among them the "therapeutic hot springs" or spas of hot springs, which also had a strong symbolic-sacred meaning.

Thermal Baths of Cocalmayo, Cusco

One of the most visited attractions in Santa Teresa. The hot springs of Cocalmayo are a wonderful meeting point for foreign and local visitors, who gather to enjoy a pleasant moment of entertainment and relaxation in its pleasant temperate waters.

Aguas Calientes

Thermal Baths of Putina, Tacna

The hot springs of Putina are located one kilometer from the town of Ticaco, and descend from the great volcano Yucamani, one of the two active volcanoes in Tacna-region. The place has a thermal pool and some private pools, with waters that maintain an average temperature of 45ºC.

From Tacna you can take the buses that go to Tarata (2 hours trip) and from there take another bus or a taxi to Ticaco, where the hot springs are located (20 minutes trip).

CConoc

The thermal baths of Cconoc, in my experience a beautiful place to visit, because there is not only the thermal baths, which is already very good, but also because of the landscapes and as if it was not enough the Apurimac River is only a few step, which you can visit and even if you are an experienced swimmer you can cross it. Cconoc thermal baths are 78 km away. East of Abancay in Apurimac. To reach the town of Curahuasi we go along the road until we reach the thermal baths. Most visitors come to the bathrooms to cure their ailments or relax in its waters or just have fun. The place has lodging, bar and restaurant service for its guests. On the other hand it is known by experts in boating.

Thermal Baths of Chacapi, Arequipa

Located in the Yanque district, the Chacapi hot springs are part of the Colom Valley thermomedical resources. With a simply spectacular view, the place is made up of three swimming pools that reach 45ºC.

You can travel by bus departing from the Arequipa land terminal to Yanque, on a journey of almost 5 hours (249.9 km). From Yanque's main square you can take a taxi to the hot springs, which are only 2 kilometers away.

Lares

Very close to Cusco by the route that goes to the Sacred Valley and going through the mysterious ruins of Písac almost to reach the town of Calca, we find a detour that leads us to La Convention, the trip is short, in a carelessness you You are in the Plaza de Armas de Lares, which is at an altitude of 3,250 meters above sea level. Most of the pools (with temperatures between 36ºC and 44ºC) with polished stones adorn the landscape, there are also jets of hot water running down the rocks. Hygiene is a nice feature of the place. Baños del Inca

The city of Churín is located 210 km northwest of the city of Lima. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete. You can travel by bus buying your ticket on redbus.com, or take a minivan from the Ovalo Infante in Lima.
